TRAVEL ADVICE...
General Information The circuit is located 3km outside the city of Assen, to the southwest, and is easily accessible by car and train. It is also a nice ride from the UK and most of Europe, a great option especially as you can park your bike securely right outside your bungalow.
By air You can fly direct to Groningen (30km away) or Amsterdam Schipol (195km away) and take the convenient train (about 2 hrs) - see below. Eindhoven is also a good choice, Ryanair flys there.
Try skyscanner.com to find out what airlines will get you there.
By road If driving or biking from Amsterdam, leave via the A1 in the east of the city, and continue until you reach the A28 which takes you all the way to Assen. Leave the A28 at Exit 32 (Assen-Zuid). Follow the signs to the circuit from here. Allow about 2 hours for the journey.
If travelling from the UK you’ll likely pass through Belgium via Gent and continue towards Antwerp in the Netherlands along the A14 and then head towards Utrecht via the A1 and A27 where you’ll join the A28 and continue directly to Assen from here.
By rail There is a regular train from Amsterdam to Assen which takes approximately 2 hours (www.ns.nl). The train from Amsterdam Airport Schipol takes just under 2 ½ hours.
Get off at Assen, where there is a convenient shuttle bus straight to the circuit. Or carry on to Groningen for packages there; get off at Steenwijk for our spcial package at the Vledder bungalow park.
By bus There is a handy shuttle bus at the Assen train station that will take you straight to the track. Tickets last year were 5 EUR, and they run frequently.
Adelhof Bungalow Park, Vledder - by public transport Take the train to Steenwijk (there is a direct train from Schipol Airport). From the train station take bus 235 - destination 'Borger'. Get off at stop 'Zwembad/Adelhof' in Vledder. The camp address is Vledderweg 19, in the direction of the village. Alternatively grab a taxi (c. 10 EUR) or let us know when you are arriving and we can arrange pickup.
De Bonte Wever Hotel - by public transport Take the train to Assen (there is a direct train from Schipol Airport). From there you should take a taxi to the hotel for around 15 EUR. It is not far away at all.
