TRAVEL HINTS...
General Information The Circuit de Catalunya is located 29km north of Barcelona, in Spain. It is easily accessible by car, train and three airports within an 80km radius of the circuit.
By rail (trains: www.renfe.es) We recommend leaving the car behind and catching a train, especially if staying in Barcelona. The circuit is located within walking distance to Montmel train station which is part of the Barcelona rail network (Number 2 line - green). During the race weekend a transfer will be available from the Montmel train station to the Circuit de Catalunya. However you will likely be at the action quicker if you walk there by following a signposted route from the station. It should only take about 20 minutes and there will be thousands of fans to keep you company.
By air (www.skyscanner.net for cheap flight options) The nearest airports are Barcelona International Airport (known as El Prat de Llobregat, 55 km to the south), Sabadell (35km to the south-west and ideal for private flights) and Girona-Costa Brava (80km to the north-east). RyanAir flies Doncaster to Girona; can take a train to Barcelona, trains take about 1:20. We can arrange airport collection from any airport.
By road The circuit lies about half an hour away from Barcelona. From Sant Adria de Besos, continue along the B-10 until you find the C-58, and then the C-33. Take Exit 2 onto the C-17 towards Parets Vic Puigcerda, and a right onto the C-35 after 1.5km. Follow the signs or the convoy of other fans to the track from here.
Car rental Contact our partners at Avis, with several rental locations throughout the region to suit your travel needs. All our hotels feature secure parking for bikes and cars.
By coach If you are staying in the city, ask us if we have space on our coaches. Sagales will be running a 7 EUR return Barcelona-to-circuit service during race weekend. Details and ticket sales information can be found at http://www.sagales.com/
