Donington Park Grand Prix Circuit

Donington is that quintessentially British experience - traffic, rain, narrow track that feels almost Victorian, paddock the size of my kitchen - we LOVE IT! Get there Thursday for the Day of Champions, we are big supporters of Riders for Health. Our opening party in 2007 was awesome, backstage at the concert with Toseland and others; and this year we will have several top hospitality options!

TRAVEL HINTS...

General Information
Donington Park is located in North-West Leicestershire in the centre of England, approximately 190 km from London. Thanks to its location just off the M1 and next-door to East Midlands Airport it is arguably one of the easiest circuits to reach.

By air
The nearest airport is East Midlands, conveniently located adjacent to the circuit (3km away) and servicing operators such as bmi, British Airways, easyJet and Ryanair. Birmingham Airport is another option (45km away). Try skyscanner.net to find out what airlines will get you there.

By road
The circuit lies approximately two hours away from London. Leave London via Edgeware Road (A5), passing Barnet, and continue straight until you reach the intersection with North Circular Road. Follow the signs to the M1 and continue along it for approximately 185km. Past Shepshed, look out for the A42 at exit 23a, and join it momentarily until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout turn onto Ashby Road (A453), which passes adjacent to East Midlands Airport, and follow the signs until you reach the circuit.

Car rental
Contact our partners at Avis, with several rental locations throughout the region to suit your travel needs.

By rail
Both Derby and Loughborough stations are approximately 20km away from the circuit in opposite directions, which would take about 20-25 minutes by taxi (www.nationalrail.co.uk)

By bus
Try the Skylink service from Nottingham to East Midlands Airport (www.skylink.co.uk). Alternatively take buses to either Castle Donington or East Midlands Airport from either Loughborough or Derby.
