Sepang has become one of our top events. Sepang is a magic GP. The track has MotoGP's only back-to-back straight: hitting 185 mph on the back straight, around the tortuous tower hairpin then right back up to 185 on the front straight, only to go zooming back down to first gear on the turn 1 hairpin and the treacherous turn 2 chicane. Racing here is always exciting -- although the heat and humidity can make it a real challenge for the riders!
The central mall is magnificent -- a little village in the middle of the track, and your tickets allow you to sit at virtually any vantage point. Friday access is free, and there is a pit lane walk for all ticket holders. The VIP Facilities over the pit row are second to none in MotoGP, and blessedly fully air conditioned. What makes the Sepang VIP truly special however is that fact that it is so underpopulated. Instead of ordinary paddock tours, Dorna provides full paddock passes permitting you to go into the paddock and wander to your heart's content. You will meet many riders. We have a suite in the VIP with our own staff and hostess, and always bring up a rider or two to share some of their experiences.
A slightly more economical option to get you out of the heat is our excellent Pole Position Suite in the mall with full hospitality. Another option is to join a MotoGP or Moto3 team for the weekend - limited team hospitality at the fly-aways but we offer a discount on our hospitalities to add to your paddock experience.
Our packages take care of you for the entire weekend. You can choose from:
* 5* Deluxe Package in a hotel used heavily by teams and riders
* 5* Malaysian Package in the new 5* hotel at the airport, Movenpick [suspended in 2024]
* 4*+ "Paradise" package in a stunning "Lagoon" style hotel on the water
All hospitality and Team Experiences are discounted for package customers.
Thursday evening we have a welcome drink at each hotel, to introduce you and brief you on the weekend. And have a drink or two!. Friday is our famous Sepang opening party with superstar guests. We usually keep the stars a mystery, but in the past have included Jeremy Burgess, Colin Edwards, Randy Mamola, Cal Crutchlow, Dani Pedrosa, Mick Doohan, Wayne Gardner, Lucio Cecchinello, Carlo Pernat and many others so you can be assured you will be entertained! The night life in KL is awesome: the clubs are great, and Sunday night you can be sure to bump into a few riders blowing off some steam (hint: come Wednesday night in the City package)
