Sunday 29/Mar. Back up to the track for more of the same...! Can Casey top the time sheets again? Where are the Suzukis? Lots of face time! In the evening we go into the town for a bit of a wander; hitting spots known to be frequented by teams and riders.

Evening at the Estacion

The hotel: Our rural hotel is a family-run converted railway station dating from the turn of the 19th century. Set at the edge of a quaint Andalusian village, the place has superb views nestled amongst the vineyards. The proprietors go out of their way to make you feel at home, with plenty of local (usually complimentary) wines and beers in the evening to help you take in the sunset. They have rooms of most configuration, from singles to multi-bed apartments with private balconies perfect for families. Please let us know your preferred arrangements. All rooms are en-suite, with all usual amenities. There is a private airstrip adjacent; we can organise private flights into the hotel!

Your guide: The tour leader is Managing Director and founder Gordon Howell. He is a permanent paddock pass holder, and well known within the paddock. He will be sure to help the small group link up with the teams and gossip and nightlife!

We have been coming here for 4 years, and simply love the place.

GETTING TO JEREZ

It can be a bit tricky getting to Jerez this time of year: there is only one 'easy' flight from the UK, RyanAir direct to Jerez, and this is mostly sold out.

However we can help! Since we ourselves and several of our customers are coming in via Seville and Gibraltar are on the ground, getting here needn't be traumatic or expensive!

Give us a ring if you would like us to book something for you; or try some of the following hints:

  • EasyJet flies direct to Gibraltar from Gatwick, Monarch from Luton and Manchester. Let us know what flight you are on and we will organise a group pickup/car share. Flight are cheaper on Thur, it is easy to add an extra day to the front of this (and I will be there)
  • Ryanair flys to Jerez directly (most flights booked, you need to come a couple of days early) but also flies to Seville from Stansted. Clickair from Gatwick to Seviile is another option. Again let us know flight details and we ill work out the best way to get you to Jerez
  • The train connection from Madrid to Jerez is pretty easy 4 hrs and runs several times a day, so you can look at flights to Madrid.
    see http://www.renfe.es/horarios/english/index.html
Tell us what train you are on.

See www.skyscanner.net for a useful resource for cheap flights
