Travel tips:

Finland is somewhat on the expensive side, a pint of beer is roughly €5. English is very widely spoken. To get there, fly to Helsinki Airport HEL, and either contact us for transfer options, or make your own way to Kotka (c. 90 min drive).

Trip advice

Driving to the event will be a challenge. From the UK it is 35+ hours, with a section through Russia, or via ferry from one of the Baltic ports such as Tallinn.

By far the easiest approach is by air. There are a number of direct flights to Helsinki (HEL).

If you are booking a package with us, it is always a good idea to let us know your travel plans, flight details. Even if we are not organising a transfer for you, this gives us an ETA for your hotel arrival. We will send you detailed joining and location instructions (or you can just see our Google map)

If you are driving, find the locations from our maps. Our joining instructions also include the GPS coordinates for your hotel.

If you are flying there are several options:

1/ Arrive Wednesday or sooner and join our "Helsinki Excursion". This includes 1 or more nights at a superb 4* hotel in the city, a city tour, dinner and transfer Thursday morning to the track

2/ We can organise a private car to meet you and take you directly to your hotel

3/ We will organise one or more vans where we will consolidate customers for a ride share (considerably less expensive than private car)

or "DIY" options:
4/ Rent a car. It is about a 90 minute drive to Kotka. n.b. if hiring a car out of HEL, the car rental lies between Terminals 1 and 2 (not well marked).

5/ Take a bus or train. These are each about 3.5 hours. See options on https://www.rome2rio.com/map/Helsinki-Airport-HEL/Kotka

or of course you can organise your own taxi.

There are very few public transport options. From Kotka, you can take a train to Kouvola, the nearest town to Kymiring, then a bus (or taxi). This will take about 2.5 hours each way.

A taxi from Kotka to Kymiring will set you back about €135+

It is about 1 hour drive if you have your own vehicle. VIP and Team Experience guests may request a parking pass (although there is ample onsite parking)

Or of course if you join one of our packages, the transfers are included!
