Coronavirus update - hanging in there!

Staff have been confined to our homes, but we will continue to work through the coronavirus crisis to assist and advise clients, and replan events under the evolving circumstances.

As you know, the World Health Organisation named the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) as a global pandemic. Our thoughts go out to those who have been directly impacted by the virus.

In addition to the health issues the pandemic has caused, the economic effects of COVID-19 have been felt worldwide. The travel and professional sporting industries have been affected in particular.

Following recent announcements from Dorna, IRTA and the FIM postponing and cancelling events in both Moto GP and WSBK, we are working closely with our suppliers, the official event organisers and our partner teams to achieve the best possible outcome for all of our guests who have been affected by the changes. We have been, and will continue to communicate directly with these guests as further information arises.

The situation is changing by the hour, and we expect further events to be affected in April. We are hoping events scheduled for May onwards, will run as planned, however the reality is this could change.

We will communicate any news to our guests when we receive it from the official event organisers, but rest assured we will be one of the first to hear, and we will work with our guests to minimise the disruption to your bookings. Please follow us on Facebook and the news on our web site for latest information.

Due to recent announcements from the Czech Authorities to help minimise the spread of COVID-19 in the Czech Republic, and with the wellbeing of our team being a priority, we will be temporarily closing our Head Office in Prague and also our office in Barcelona, with the team working from home. Essentially it will be business “as usual”, but please bear with us if our normal response time to your enquiry is slower than normal.

Since our foundation in 2002 our guiding philosophy has been total commitment to our clients, and in all matters our first consideration is the welfare of you, our valued guests. This has been reflected in countless ways throughout our history – and we believe is a major factor underlying our strong customer loyalty.

This priority will not change during this crisis. For those of you who have booked and paid for events, your money is safe with us: either through refund (which is dependent on our suppliers and their evolving terms and conditions) or through transference to another event, possibly next season. But please bear with us through this period of uncertainty – the entire industry, from the event organisers, circuits, hotels, airlines and others are in the throes of upheaval. Once the dust has settled, it will be clearer which routes are open to us.

We can only pray that this will be sooner rather than later.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you. Your loyalty through the years as well as the touching concerns many of you have shown us during this crisis (not to mention your patience) has been a tremendous boost to the team’s morale. It has been a great honour to be able to serve our fellow racing fans, and we look forward to many more years of bring you the best of the best sport on the planet.

Please do not hesitate to contact the team at help@polepositiontravel.com for further assistance.

We thank you for your understanding with this difficult situation, and hope you and your families stay fit and healthy.
