We are THE MotoGP No.1 specialists making your weekend an unforgettable experience

Expanded Motegi package launched!

2017 will be our biggest Motegi MotoGP ever! We are bringing more staff, more transport and - since we have been essentially sold out for weeks - more hotel hotel rooms! We have moved hotels to get a large capacity, our new modern 4* hotel in Tsukuba City will be a great base for the Japanese MotoGP!

Manuel Pecino

Motegi Friday guest speaker to be MotoGP guru Manuel Pecino

For our regulars who know Manuel, you will undoubtedly have hundreds of more questions for him, and will be delighted to followup on his previous insights and gossip. For those of you who do not know him, be prepared to spend many hours with one of the most incisive 30+ year veterans of MotoGP! You will have the opportunity to discuss any issue you care to raise over a prolonged dinner, and likely further drinks! Never anything but fascinating!

Event description

The Motegi circuit is set in a huge parkland area in a very rural part of Japan. The park features the Honda Museum, where exhibits such as the original CBR 1000 and bikes ridden by Hailwood and other legends will be sure to recall fond days of youth! There is a high-tech exhibition hall, a nature exhibit/trail, a kiddies pocketbike track, tons of shops, concessions, and more on the weekend.

You can get around the track to see the action from several viewing points. Recommend to head over to the Z 90 degree corner for some hard braking after the downhill straight into the right angle turn. The final corners - under the overpass and into the final chicane, are where the race is often decided.

Japan can be an intimidating place, especially if you have never been there. It is a VERY difficult race to manage on your own -- there are no hotels nearby, and the local taxi drivers as a rule speak no English.

Our Special package is bed and breakfast - and includes dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. Friday night is our Opening Reception with a traditional Japanese meal near our hotel (absolutely delicious!) with star "insider" speaker; Saturday we visit a local traditional Japanese restaurant; Sunday is our winding down dinner in town (shared cost), and a few visits to the local pubs is not unknown!

Motegi is a truly special event, with great camaraderie developing amongst the few people who make it. Plan this if you can, you will have a weekend to remember!

Motegi is a complicated place, which means our experienced advice will be quite useful for anyone seeking to attend this remarkable event. Remember, even if you are not on our package, we have a team at the circuit and can help you with any issues.

For tickets you get the most view from the main stands V2-6 : the natural valley the track lies in gives you panoramic sights (but you will want binoculars). All are about equal, go with V2/3 if you want to see the start grid, V6 for a view back to the final corner. A lot of action here makes this the spot serious Japanese aficionados hang out. Lots of atmosphere, but the TV view is quite far (the binocs again!)

For our money, the best value is grandstand Z on the infamous 90 degree corner. Here you see the bikes in heavy downhill braking from the longest straight of the circuit. Much action here; and you are quite close to it, with a good TV view. You can also do G on the inside of this corner - more great action but you need to turn around to see a TV

All grandstand tickets also permit access to the Super Speedway Arena on Sunday. This is the area just alongside the main straight (actually on the speedway tarmac). You can't actually see much track from here, but is great for getting close to the podium and is also where special events occur, such as rider signatures.

Finally, Motegi is one of the few circuits where you can purchase a paddock pass. If you are not going VIP, we strongly recommend this. Passes are valid for one day only, you may buy a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday pass. The paddock gets VERY crowded on Sunday, consider Saturday or even Friday (or get two!). These passes are NOT the same as our "Team Experience" -- which is a guided experience and allows us to enter garages -- however they do permit you to access the paddock.

TEAM EXPERIENCE: Our special Team Experiences are available for this event. This sets you up as a guest of one of our sponsored teams for a day or the weekend, with paddock access, pit visits, rider meetings, and more! Team Experience also includes general admission access and a private viewing area "Hospitality garden" with views to the final corners as well as turns 3-4. you may choose MotoGP or Moto2 experience.

Practical information

Small but perfectly formed makes Motegi one of our favourite events of the year. Awesome facilities and amazingly helpful Japanese made us not want to leave. One of the most unique racing facilities in the world: not just a circuit but virtually a theme park & the 'Home of Honda'.
