Event review - Grand Prix of Japan 2025
Is this the perfect MotoGP?
This is one of those super reliable, no fail events that our staff fight over every year to attend!
Being one of the most exotic events and difficult to organise on your own, we always have a tightly knit group and a blast!
After our usual opening drinks on Thursday (which inevitably ends up at the local Irish pub!) we made the journey to the iconic Mobilityland circuit of Motegi. For those who had never been to this track, it is like a moto-Disneyland! The fascinating Honda museum can keep you busy all day! Karting tracks, amusement rides, merchandise and more get in the way of your journey to the paddock!
Friday night we had our traditional Japanese feast, the food wild and exotic but also a feast for the brain as we were joined by veteran (33 years in the paddock) journalist Manuel Pecino. Manuel has seen it all and in this intimate environment we were able to share his deep experience and knowledge at leisure!
Saturday we were treated to some great racing - with Francisco Bagnaia finally finding his old form and dominated the Sprint. Some of our team experience clients got out to the amazing circuit service road -- that back straight to the 90 degree corner is spectacular! We had a free evening where people got to explore the extensive night life of Utsunomia.
Sunday was an historic day. Marc Marquez clinched the MotoGP world title -- in on of the most incredible comebacks in sporting history! An honour to be present for this!
We rounded out the perfect weekend with a classic Teppanyaki (Japanese BBQ) dinner. Everyone was still on a high from the day, and the night was a brilliant success that many didn't want to end (the Irish bar might have seen more business! :-)
Arigato Japan!!
