It can get very hot and sunny in Portimao so pack appropriately! Beaches are a must here, and be sure to visit the Boardwalk! There are numerous golf courses nearby, a couple in walking distance from the hotel.
The nearest airport is Faro - about 73km, 50 min drive. You can also fly into Lisbon, which is about a 2.5hr drive.
Car hire is not too dear in Portugal so you can also consider this as an option. There is plenty of parking at our resort hotel, the Deluxe hotel has private parking at additional cost - let us know if you need.
Public transport options:
From FARO
We can organise a taxi pickup for you. A private car will be roughly €100.
There is also a train which requires you to first take a coach from the airport to Faro centre, then board a train. The total journey will be about 2.5 hours and cost about €12 per person. You simply take a taxi from the train station to our hotel.
UBER users may consider this option - anywhere from €60-€90 from the airport direct to our hotel.
From LISBON Airport
To take the train, you will first take a coach to Lisboa Oriente train station, then the train itself to Tunes, then change trains to Portmao. The total journey is about 6 hours; and will cost about €45.
There is a bus, which you take first to Lisboa Oriente station then a direct bus to Portimao. This is about 5 hrs and costs about €30.
In either case, you simply take a taxi from the train station to our hotel.
TO AND FROM THE TRACK
Of course our package customers will simply take our shuttle service.
If you are not in a package with us, the circuit is only about a 10 minute drive, so a taxi is your best bet. You can also drive - if you are a VIP or Team experience customer of ours, you can request a parking pass. These are not guaranteed for parties of fewer than 4, but we frequently can provide.
