Wow! We have been patiently awaiting this event since it was first earmarked on the MotoGP calendar in 2010! At last we will get to see the beautiful Lake Balaton and the delights of Hungary! Join us - remember you can only be first once!
We planned our tour to this event at Balaton circuit with our usual caution for a first time event: extra staff, arriving early, contingency planning, and keeping the group small.
All was redundant! The event was cery smooth and we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the Lake Balaton and the welcoming friendliness of the people!
That we had been to the WorldSBK there a month earlier helped as well!
Welcome dinner featured our sponsored rider from New Zealand Cormac Buchanan. We also roped in not one but TWO veteran journalists to give us their perspectives: Irishman Simon Patterson and Spaniard Manuel Pecino.
While some of the facilities at the track were a bit rough around the edges, everything worked well, with good viewing and facilities
WE had guests with a couple of our teams (LCR Honda, Gresini Ducati and Aspar CFMoto Moto2/3. This meant they got to experience the service road for the first time, and some guests were even on the start grid!
Sunday night we closed with an optional dinner at a spectacular local restaurant with authentic Hungarian food and wine!
An amazing weekend, can't wait to return (twice in 2026 including the WorldSBK!)
