Event review - Gran Premio d’Italia 2025

Mugello is back!

Frankly, Mugello was clobbered by the 1-2 punch of COVID and then the retiral of their superhero Valentino Rossi. The last few years have shown this, with attendance down, and a general loss of the crazy atmosphere it is so famous for.

This year, however, we really felt the Italian magic at Mugello! Some of us actually started the weekend in Misano for the world SuperBike and we enjoyed a spectacular drive the long way via Tavulia and the amazing Pennine mountains. After the long drive the beer in our deluxe Riverside Hotel taste it like heaven!

Our traditional Thursday happy hour was outdoors in our Villa hotel under perfect early evening sun, and also in our Deluxe package alongside the gently flowing Arno river!

The drive up to the Circuit is always spectacular through the Tuscan hills. And of course Mugello itself is one of the most beautiful tracks in MotoGP!

Some of our guests got the proper birds iview of the Circuit when taking the helicopter fly over!

On Friday evening we had our usual opening dinner, this time we featured our two Red Bull rookies riders Kristian Daniel and Carter Thompson. They were quizzed by our favourite journalist Simon Patterson who later shared many insights about MotoGP with us.

After another beautiful day at the track, some of our guests stayed for dinner and a wonder around the always exciting Mugello Paddock.

Sunday saw more brilliant Racing including several of our guests on the MotoGP grid! We closed the day at the track in our favourite cafe, soaking up sunshine, beer and wine while we waited for the traffic to die down.

Sunday evening we returned to our favourite restaurant in MotoGP - the Trattoria Osvaldo for some much loved Florentine hospitality!
