Event review - WSBK Jerez 2025

What a satisfying end to a fantastic year in WorldSBK!

The weekend started on Tuesday as the hard-core WorldSBK fans drove from Estoril to Jerez! Getting a couple of days in Jerez, at our lovely 4* Sherry Park hotel was a real treat!

Thursday the small group met for our happy hour. Earlier we had met up with SBK legend Troy Bayliss, and he was nice enough to join us for 15 minutes!

At the circuit most guests joined Bimota for the day to enjoy the superb hospitality and get an in-depth tour of the garage!

Friday night we gathered for a tapas feast and impromptu sherry tasting - the perfect introduction to Jerez!

At the track, Bulega showed he was totally driven to stop Toprak from taking the crown - winning all three races. But it wasn't enough and Sunday Toprak takes the championship.

The WorldWCR Women's championship wrapped up, with the charismatic Spaniard Beatriz Neila taking second to compatriot Maria Herrera and our own Chloe Jones from England taking the 3rd place. We have been rooting for our formerly-sponsored Avalon Lewis from New Zealand, who ended up a respectable 8th overall.

Our sponsored rider from Australia, Carter Thompson came into the weekend lying 2nd in the championship. He fought hard, but was unable to catch the leader Fernandez - we were very proud of him!

Saturday marked the final paddock show of the year. Presided over by our friend Michael Hill - the atmosphere was electric!

Amongst the retiring racers was our old friend, 6 times WorldSBK champion, Jonathan Rea. There was huge support for him at the event.

We closed the weekend and the WorldSBK season with a brilliant dinner at one of the top restaurants in Jerez. We weren't alone - the entire Honda team shared the venue! We were honoured to be joined briefly by the super-friendly Xavi Vierge (on his way to Yamaha for 2026)

A perfect weekend and a perfect end to a spectacular WorldSBK season!
